Our Mission

At DLH, our mission is to inspire a deeper connection between horses and people through trust, patience, and understanding. We believe there is a gentler way to train—one that listens before it asks, teaches before it expects, and values the horse’s thoughts, emotions, and well-being every step of the way. Our goal is to help people see horses not as machines to be controlled, but as willing partners with their own minds, personalities, and voices. By learning to communicate instead of force, we create relationships built on mutual respect and confidence that extend far beyond liberty and into every aspect of horsemanship. Above all else, the horse always comes first. We believe our emotions should never outweigh a horse’s physical or mental well-being. Every horse deserves to feel safe, understood, and respected, and every person deserves the opportunity to learn how to build that kind of partnership. Whether you’re taking your very first lesson, attending a clinic, or simply spending time with the herd, our hope is that you leave with a greater appreciation for horses, a stronger understanding of how they think, and the confidence to continue your journey with kindness, compassion, and purpose.

Performing in the entertainment competition at Road to the Horse during only our second public performance was an incredible honor. It marked another important chapter in our journey and allowed us to share our passion for horsemanship on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
